Chantell McDaniel

Ms. Chantell, Lead Teacher and Assistant Director at Knowledge Is Power Early Learning Program. Born in Washington D.C. but her family moved to Charlotte N.C. during the early 80’s. She graduated from West Mecklenburg High School in 1997 and was employed by Dairy Queen during this time. In 2002 she began her journey as an Assistant Teacher at Beginning Years Daycare. During this time she gained Credentials I & II. In 2006 she became employed at Knowledge is Power Early Learning and is still presently employed.

She has experience working with all age groups from Infants-School Age Children, and have had the privilege of working in different childcare environments as well. As Chantell, began her journey in childcare she only had intensions on gaining Early Childhood Credentials, but shortly after that she realized that continuing her education would not only improve her teaching skills but help provide an exciting learning environment for all my students. She has learned over the years there is always so much more to learn. Since then she has earned her Associates Degree in Early Childhood and a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Administration.  KIP is not only an exceptional place for children, but it is a place of motivation for staff members as well.

On a personal note, Ms. Chantell has two wonderful children one boy and one girl that are nine years apart. Since there is such a gap in age she has special moments with both of her children. She and her son enjoy watching football, shopping, and attending sporting events. While she and her daughter love to shop, go skating, and cooking. On days off her children are involved in their extracurricular activities as well. She is a very outgoing person who loves to have fun, but at the same time she’s very structured.
